Topo Chico

Carbonated Mineral water with natural lime flavor. This attractive bottle was spotted at the Tasty Street Coop, on a lazy Saturday walk before the dark times. We had a thirst so we picked up two and walked them home with some fresh bread from the nearby prime baker. There’s actually two really good bakers nearby but that’s another review. Actually I'll do it now.

Yummy Sourdough: Really good bread. Can’t be beat! Dining in for lunch is good, but not my favorite. It’s got a good atmosphere. 4.5/5 stars. 5 star bread.

Big Belly Bakehouse. Really good desserts. Not much for a dine in experience. 4.5/5 stars. They deserve the love too.

Classy European Bakery. Their bread looks like it has more preservatives in it maybe. Also they’ve been around longer I think and aren’t as hip. But they still make a mean croissant and sandwich bread. Delicious.

All the bakeries around here are good. We should support them all.

We walked a lot that day because it was a warm day for February. I popped my delicious looking Topo Chico in the freezer. It's a ‘hint of lime’ but I believe they also had lemon. We watched some TV and made dinner. I forgot about my Topo Chico. After 70 minutes I remember. I whip it out of the freezer and pop the top. It’s a Topo Chico Slushie.

Topo Chico Slushie:

  • Consistency: slush like. Not as thick as an Icee
  • Flavor: limey and minerally in a good way
  • Carbonated: trapped in the ice
  • Mouth feel: a little odd as a slushie

Star Rating

Overall rating: 3 out of 5 stars. Next time I'll rate the non slushie version.
